Santuario de Sant Salvador is a monastery or sanctuary of Sant Salvador founded in 1343. It is located in 510 m on mountain Puig de Sant Salvador. It location is on island Mallorca, on Mediterranean side, it is near town Felantix. This Monastery was built on order of King Pere IV. The church was added later after the great pilgrimage up to this mountain because the plague. In 1885 it was sold to the town Felantix because it was stop being a pilgrimage. The first administration of this monastery was under the monks, but after the 1993 it is under the two Majorca families. They open rooms for rent and restaurants. Today this monastery is made for tourism perspective. To get to monastery you have to pass a winding road. On this road you will small chapel, large cross made form stone, monument to Christ the King and of course the beautiful view to to the land. Church form inside is beautiful and stunning. The altar was decorated in Baroque style by sculptor Pere Coronero. Also you see a replica of Last Supper, the statue of Mary from 13th century. The tower on outside is high 38 meters on which stand the 8 meters statue of Christ. Also the view is stung, you can see all panoramic view through all island.
